    "of yards out of reach"

    Dear all,

What is the meaning of {of just yards out of reach} and what does it refer to?

[you might think a ball landing at a players feet or just yards out of reach is in the hand of the gods]

    Thanks a lot.

Re: "of yards out of reach"

A yard is about 90cm, so think of it as meaning the same as a few metres.
