good evening sir,

it is satya,
here is some question about adjective.

1. He is thief.
2. They are farmer.
3. he is mechanic.

would you explain me that Adjectives after auxiliary verb belong to what type of adjective.what do they modify to pronoun.

These are nouns.

NOT A TEACHER


1. He (pronoun) + is (linking verb) + a (adjective/determiner) + horrible (adjective) + thief (noun).

We say that "a horrible thief" refers to the subject "He."

"is" links "He" and "a horrible thief."

Some languages do not have linking verbs.

They just say:

He a horrible thief. (He = a horrible thief)

2. They + are + hardworking + farmers.

(They = hardworking farmers.)

3. He + is + an + honest + mechanic.

(He = an honest mechanic.)

These are nouns.

OK

you told me these are noun but they modify job of person so it should be adjective.

if you are telling me it is the name of job but we call the person by these name so it should be professional name of persons . i think
