    Hyphen

Should there be a hyphen between "price" and "calculation" in "price calculation examples"? My instinct tells me "yes."

    Thanks!

    Re: Hyphen

You can go either way on this.

The strict rule is that they work together to modify the noun examples, so they should have one.

But really, there is little chance someone would be confused as to what type of examples you mean. They are examples about price calculations.

I would probably write it without the hyphen, and my editor would put it in.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

I'd say not. It's unambiguous, and it's simpler without.
