    adjective clause+grammar teacher

The girl who lives next door is my cousin.
The girl living next door is my cousin.

The boy who is playing basketball is my cousin.
The boy palying basketball is my cousin.

The girl who can play the piano is a student.
How do you reduce the adjective caluse here. How do you change "can play"?

You could use able to play, but I wouldn't change it.

The girl who plays the piano ...
The girl playing the piano ...
    The piano-playing girl ...
    The pianist ...

These can be used if you don't need to make a distinction between a girl who can play, and a girl who does play, or is playing. But Tdol is right in implying that there is strictly no reduction for "who can play".
