    Since - Present Perfect Tense

    Dear Teacher, I could not understand the usage of "since" in the sentence below. Thanks and regards.

    "Pakistan's government has since condemned the action, and threatened to open fire if U.S. forces enter again."

    'since' = 'since the time of the incident', 'since then', 'between that time and the present'.
