    Re: training/workshops

Training is a very broad word. You can get on-the-job training, classroom training, lab training, attend workshops, participate in online seminars, etc. Anything that helps you learn how to do things better is training.

A workshop is one type of training. You can have a workshop for other purposes too - consensus building or coming to a decision when there are a lot of options to consider.

Training is not countable. You can't (grammatically) say "one training" consists of anything.

You can say "This training program consists of several workshops where participants will.. "
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
