    Please check out the following sentences.

    (1) It is inconvenient to communicate with others without a cellphone.
    (2) It is inconvenient to establish contact without a cellphone.

    Both of the sentences are grammatically correct. #2 sounds a little weird by itself, but maybe in context it might sound more natural.
