    Greetings!

Today I've found some expressions: Hallo, Hello, Hullo and Cheer-oh.
These words are greetings. But their using depends on (in)formal situation.
I want to ask if Hullo or Cheer-oh are really popular? It's so interesting.
    Thanks a lot!

    Re: Greetings!

    Hi,
"Hullo" and "Hallo" are simply trying to spell the word "Hello" the way some people say it causually. "Hullo there!" I would not write it that way. I suggest you stick to "Hi" and "Hello." "Hi" is informal.

Cheerio is probably the word you mean, and its use is British. I don't know if it's still used, and I thought it was a farewell, not a greeting, so I will let a British English speaker answer that.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

Cheerio is a farewell. I wouldn't think it's very widely used these days.
