Do you say "get nth years old"

    Dear all,

Do you say "I'll get 18 years old next year"?

I know "I'll be 18 next year" is fine, and it's also okay to say, "I'm getting old", but I'm not sure if "get+age" is akso fine.

    Thanks!

    No
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
