    In the following sentence, which is acceptable in the blank?

    (1) I prefer plum blossoms to any other _____________.
    (blossom, blossoms)

    Is the following wording acceptable?

    (2) I prefer plum blossoms to any other.

    Better is: I prefer plum blossom to any other blossom.

    The final 'blossom' can be dropped.
