    Question speaking low/softly/quietly

    Hi,

I know that if you want to ask somebody not to speak so loud you can say: can you lower your voice? My doubt comes when I use the structure: Can you speak (more) ... ?

    Which is correct?

    • Can you speak low(er)? (I guess this is wrong and I'm translating from my language)
    • Can you speak (more) quietly?
    • Can you speak (more) softly?

    Thanks!!

    Hi Gil,

    thanks very much.
Yes, silly me! I should have written could or will you?! Thanks very much.

One more question: are all three synonymous?

In the right context they're synonyms but low and soft certainly have other meanings too.
