    "but" or "and" ?

    "Frequent flyers are bored with flying, but/and people who don't fly very often find it exciting." What would be a better choice : "but" or "and" ?
    My choice would be "but" to indicate contrast, but I'm not sure if that's the best choice ?

    I agree with you. I think but is the right choice.I am not a teacher.

    'But' is the natural choice.
