    Hi

    If someone is given a bare outline of a situtaion it means that he/she is told a little bit about the situation?

    Yes, given the key points, but no details.
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
