    Meaning of this sentence

    Hello everyone,

    "It is in sight of saturation point a generation quicker than expected."

    What does the word "generation" mean in this sentence?

    I can't understand what this is supposed to mean at all!
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
