Hi,
Question:
Which sentence is grammatically correct?

Sentence1:
My current salary and expected salary are US$1000
Sentence2:
My current and expected salaries are US$1000

Background:
The new boss asked me 2 questions.
what is your current salary?
what is your expected salary?

Thanks

You can't combine these ideas the way you did, as the current salary and the expected salary should be different - unless you are willing to accept the same salary as you are getting now.

yes... I am willing to accept

also, (i am not sure but) I think setence 1 is correct

In that case, you'd say, "My current salary is US$1000, which I'm happy with."

I don't like your sentence 1. Forgetting the semantics for now, I'd write:
"My current salary, and expected salary, is US$1000."
The commas mean that "expected salary" is another variant of "current salary", and hence they are the same.

There is a context for your sentence 1:
Boss: "I note you've filled out this form with your current salary the same as your expected salary."
You: "Yes, my current sallary and expected salary are both US$1000. I am content with my current salary."

If you said simply, "Yes, my current salary is US$1000, and my expected salary is US$1000," you could be taken for a smart alec.
