    or

    where should i use also?

    'aslo' is a focusing adverb.

    [1] They are also coming. (after BE)
    [2] They also want to come. (before other verbs)
    [3] Also, they are coming. (In this position, 'also' is synonymous with 'in addition to what I just said')
    [4] They are coming, also. (In this position, 'also' functions as an afterthought)

    Let's get to your example sentence.

    [5] Mother cooks food and she also keeps the home neat and clean. (OK)
    [6] Mother cooks food and she keeps the home neat and clean, also. (OK)

    A form of the verb BE. For example, am, is, are, was, were, be, except been:

    They also have been skiing.
    They have also been skiing.
    They have been skiing, also.
    Also, they have been skiing.
    ?They have been also skiing. (awkward position for 'also')
