    might have PP

    1) I was afraid that he might have lot his way home.

    2) I was afraid that he might lost his way home.

Are the both correct? Ir they are, how are they different in the meaning?

    1) I was afraid that he might lose his way home.

    2) I was afraid that he might have lost his way home.

I thought that might be the next question. Why don't you guess first? It's not hard.

Let me add something that may help you figure it out:

    1) I was afraid that he might lose his way home, so I gave him a lift.

    2) I was afraid that he might have lost his way home, so I started looking for him.
