    steep and slopy

For the narrow and short road/street in between two big blocks in the main street, should I call it alley?

For the road which is very steep and slopy that cars need to switch the gear to drive up. What do we call this kind of road?

I know what is main roads, what should I call the others but which is not narrow but only it is not a mainroad?

    1. Yes, an alley. Usually only wide enough for one car.

    2. I don't know of any particular word for this. Also, I've never heard "slopy" used. I looked it up and it does exist as a word, but I would say don't use it. You can use "sloping."

You might say a particular road is hilly or mountainous, depending on how large the hills are.

    3. Secondary roads

What do we call a road which is very steep and sloped, that cars need to switch gears to drive up. Hill.

I know what main roads are, but what should I call others which are not narrow but are not a main road? Side streets.

In a city or town or village they would be side streets. Only a larger scale, say between towns, they'd be called secondary roads.
