    dateline (v)

    Dear all,

What is the meaning of "dateline"...

Two people disagreed and one of them said "I'm gonna Dateline on your ass" (Actually he spotted him in a place and ask him to "rot there till he changes his mind")

What is the meaning of "to dateline" here and why it's capitalized?

    Thanks a lot.

As there's a capital, have you looked for companies that produce time-management stuff. (The famous one in the UK is Filofax.) Possibly the man was making a reference to the woman's obsessive time-keeping...

That was from the TV series Supernatural (said by Bobboy to crowly).. after the first let the latter stand on something like a star on the ground to restrain his move.

Dateline is an investigative journalism tv program in the US.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

I don't know the show at all. Is it possible that having several respected members of the mainstream media investigating him would be harmful?

Does it have anything to do with:

International Date Line - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ?

    Thanks.

No, it's the dateline that precedes a story in a news paper.

To turn loose a group of investigative journalists, like on the TV show "Dateline."

These types of shows specialize in stories that serve to "expose" criminals, cheats, etc.
