    The inevitable conclusion

I'll appreciate your grammatical corrections for this passage. Thanks.

Hence, the inevitable conclusion is that democratic regimes must be established in the region sooner or later. These future regimes are expected to follow the model of Switzerland or at least – of Hungary, Czech or Poland. Of course … and … are not mentioned since the regimes in these countries were not replaced by democratic regimes but by dictatorial ones, although some of them are soft and moderate like… while others are less moderate, like ….

Thank you very much! How can I know when to use "like" and when to use "such as"?

There is not always a big difference, and some people use 'like' all the time.

Of course … and … are not mentioned since the regimes in these countries were not replaced by democratic regimes but by dictatorial ones, although some of them are soft and moderate like/such as… while others are less moderate, like/such as ….

'Such as' - some of them are moderate, for example, A and B.
'Like' - some of them are moderate in a similar way to A and B.
