    Re: help!

Please do not start threads with unhelpful titles such as 'Help!'
Please do not keep repeating the same questions in different threads.

    Re: help!

The more times you post the same question, the less chance there is of getting an answer. Thank you.

    Re: help!

You can report duplicate threads. If both have received replies, we can merge them. If one is still hanging out naked, we can delete that one.

But posters, please -- it is a HUGE waste of your time and our time when you ask the same question more than once.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

    Re: help!

I tried to delete my first post as it is no longer relevant, but I don't seem to have the option. Does anybody know why that is?

    Re: help!

I don't believe you can delete the first post in a thread if there are replies with the almighty mod powers. You can modify it to remove the content, but not make it go away entirely.

Do you want the thread to go away entirely? I thought it was a plea to others to show a few things, including how useless titles like "help" were, along with the request to not waste everyone's time with multiple posts of the same question.

    Re: help!

OK, but it wasn't originally the first post - I'd never start one with that title. I'll add a few words now..

    Re: help!

I thought it was intentionally ironic. You know, "If you can't set a good example, at least be a horrible warning"?

I think it was Wilde who said, "A gentleman is someone who never unintentionally gives offence". Perhaps a good definition of a good UE Member would be. "Someone who is never unintentionally ironic".

    Failed again.

Perhaps that's why I never caution people about ensuring they have prefekt speeling. If I did, I'd shirley be unintentinoally ironic.
