    I'll join late or later?

Which one is more common in American English:

Thanks for inviting me to tomorrow's party, but
    I'll join a little later.

    or

    I'll join little late.

Re: I'll join late or later?

"I'll join little late" isn't a proper response.

I would probably say I was going to come a little late.

Re: I'll join late or later?

Thanks for inviting me to the party tomorrow night. I'm going to come but I wanted to let you know I'll be a bit late. (Simply a statement)

Thanks for inviting me to the party tomorrow night. My boyfriend will be there around 8pm but I'm working tomorrow so I'll come along a bit later. (A comparative statement when another time has already been specified)

Re: I'll join late or later?

"I'll be there late" or "I might be there later" (assuming you don't know)
    "I'll join you later"

    Lots of choices here...
