    Question

    I am applying to do a CELTA course and need some help completing the application form. From the list below I think that item iii is the odd one out but I don't know how to explain why. Can anyone help me understnad how best to illustrate this?

    i.
    The babyís bottle.

    ii.
    The nationís struggle.

    iii.
    The teacherís ill.

    iv.
    The nurseís pay.

    v.
    The governmentís defeat.

    If this is for a CELTA application, it would not be right for us to help you. The course providers are trying to assess what you know at this stage.

    As far as this question is concerned, I don't think I am breaking any rules if I suggest that you don't think too hard about how you should explain things professionally. Once you have chosen an item, ask yourself why you chose it. In what way is it different from the others?
