    Results of an exam

    Dear teacher,
What is the proper way to describe the "results of an exam"?
    The context is indicated below

I have written my Accounting exam and am waiting for (the result)
    1. Should that I say i am waiting for the transcript? or
    2. I am waiting for the result?
    Thank you

    Re: Results of an exam

For me, a speaker of Br E, it would be: I have taken/sat my Accounting exam and am waiting for the results.

For those English students whose university places depend on the grades they receive in their exams, it would be: I have taken (/sat) my A Levels and am waiting to hear/learn/find out the grades/results.
