If the situation reported is still true, then the tense used in the original statement may be used in the reported statement:

"We all want to make a profit". - The meeting agreed that the company wants to make a profit.

If the reporting verb is in a past tense, then it is always correct to shift the verb in the situation reported one tense back:

"We all want to make a profit". - The meeting agreed that the company wanted to make a profit.

So, with your example, there are two possibilities. If in doubt, backshift.

If your question, "Is it OK to mix tenses in a sentence?" is about English in general, then the answer is YES:

I have studied the report, and I am not happy with the conclusions the committee arrived at.
