    Competitive hiring

    Hi all,

I need a noun-like phrase that would mean "engaging people/organization on a competitive basis". A contractor also can be selected on a competitive basis. I'm not sure, if I can use "competitive hiring" here. Does "competitve contracting" express the same?

    I'd appreciate any help.

I would say, competitive hiring if they will be on salary, and competitive contracting if they are independent, self-employed.

Do you mean in-house vs. outside specialists?
