    procrastination vs procrastinating

    Hello dear teachers!

Which one do you think is correct?
    Would you explain why?

Stop procrastination and get down to studying right now.
Stop procrastinating and get down to studying right now.

    Thanks.

    Not a teacher

To me, both are correct but mean different things. I'll try to explain how I interpret them:

Stop procrastination - stand against those who put off, delay or defer an action to a later time

Stop procrastinating - don't you go on putting off, delaying or defering an action to a later time

A more learned opinion on this requested, please.

    M.
