    passive vs active

    Once I've learned English, the situation has been changed compelitily because now I can read on-line newspapers and ....


    Shall I use passive voice?

    Based on your example I, personally, would tell not not to use the passive. However consider the following changes to improve your original statement:

    Since I've learned English, my situation has changed completly, because now I can read on-line newspapers and ....
