    Question:
    Does the following sentence imply
    I tried to ensure that I would complete/finish all the things I needed to do
    ?

    Sentence:
    I tried to ensure that everything which needed to get done did get done.

    I think your interpretation is good. One minor change would make it perfect:

    I tried to ensure that everything which needed to get done would get done.
