    Question awarding?

This is about a new employee of the year. Can you say: 'The awarding will take place on Friday.'? Or do you have to talk about an 'award ceremony'? Thank you for any comments!

No, you can't say "the awarding". You could say "the award ceremony will take place" or, simply, "the award will be given".

    Maybe:

"The presentation will take place on Friday."

    Sincerely,
