    hair or hide of it

    Hi

A man says to the woman:

Some people, even now, donít believe there was another dog. Nobody else ever saw hair or hide of it.

Does it mean: nobody ever saw that dog?

Yes, it means that nobody else saw the dog. The usual way to say it is "hide nor hair of it".
