    Which one is correct?

    1) I didn't need to go to the library to checkout books in dermatology.

    2) I didn't need to go to the library to checkout dermatology books.

    3) I prefer to keep/maintain my culture.

    4) I won't feel better about myself if I wear tight or silly dress, rather I prefer to wear according to my taste/who I am.

Thank you so much taking the time to answer my questions.

You could say '...checkout books on dermatology.' Not 'in dermatology'.

    2) I didn't need to go to the library to checkout dermatology books.
I see no problem with this.

    3) I prefer to keep/maintain my culture.
Both are correct. Though to me, 'maintain' comes more naturally.

    4) I won't feel better about myself if I wear tight or silly dress, rather I prefer to wear according to my taste/who I am.
    Again, both are correct.

Thank you so much taking the time to answer my questions.

    Re: Which one is correct?

You need the verb check out. Checkout is a noun.

    '. . .a tight or silly dress.'
