    Frenchify...

Is this word a compound form from "French" and the suffix "-ify"? Do we have the same general rule to make other derived verbs from the adjectives such as American (Americanify), Russian (Russianify), Portuguese (Portuguesify), ... or do we have another rule such as using the suffix "-ize" instead...?
    Thank you so much!

Sometimes both are possible- we have anglicise and anglify.

    Re: Frenchify...

"-ise/-ize" is most common. We have:

americanise, anglicise, hellenise, hispanicise, germanise, judaise, magyarise, polonise.

"Russianify" is not a word as far as I know. It's "russify". A man (page 3) claims there is no such verb for the Portuguese and I see no way of disproving his statement. The best I can come up with is "lusophonise".

Right, I was too lazy to skim more than one page of results.
