    Is my centence correct?

    When you travel, you can see not only different places, but also meet different people and get to know them.

    Not a teacher.

    You could say, "When you travel, you can see different places, let alone meeting different people".

    You need to change the order:
    not only SEE
    but also MEET


    You could use "not only" after "see" if you are seeing two different things,
    You can see not only rare species of birds but also beautiful scenery.
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

    This implies that meeting people is the common and expected reason to travel and seeing different places is a side benefit.
