    in/ on a bus

    A conversation on the phone:

    Linda: Where are you now?
    Amy: Oh, I'm in/ on a tram.

    Are both prepositions correct/ in use?

    "I'm on a/the tram/bus/train" is more natural.

    Yes and on a plane but in a car or taxi.
