I bounced and cried when the principal announced my daughter won the award of honour among her class.

1. Is there any mistake in the above writing?

2. What is the differences between award of honour and reward of honour?

3. What is the differences between prize, award?

I wouldn't use bounced- how about jumped for joy?

I am not quite sure what an award of honour is- is it some sort of prize for her behaviour?

It is the award given to the outstanding student in a class who's been demonstrating herself being patient, dilligent, determinative, perservant, independant and having strong team spirit. It's a award more in the true quality side of the student but not in academic side.
