    female, women. ladies, girls

    1. It is a girls' toilet.

    2. It is a women's toilet.

    3. It is a ladies' toilet.

    4. It is a female toilet.

    5. It is a female's toilet.

    a. Are the above writings correct? Any differences?

    b. Do the writings and differences apply to male as well?

    Yudvgiu, please state that you are not a teacher.

    Ju, call them sentences, not writings.

    1, 2, 3 and 4 are fine.

    5 would have to be females' as presumably more than one female uses it. It's best avoided, however, as it's not colloquial.

    The same comments apply to male equivalents.

    1 is OK, but it would depend where it was- in a school, it would be fine.

    * Not a teacher

    In my opinion:

    Girls' toilet - School, high-school, college

    Women's toilet - Pub, bar

    Ladies' toilet - Restaurant, hotel
