    To pitch = to drink

    -Hi. -Hi, Uncle Charlie.
    How was your game?
The musician's softball league is a joke.
Guys trying to catch stuff that isn't there.
People throwing up on an easy double play ball.
    So why do you go?
There is an open bar, and they let me pitch.
Does pitch here refer to "to drink"? So there are free drink and they let him drink for free?

If so, what kind of a usage is this of "pitch"? Has this something to do with baseball?

It means that they let him throw the ball, "pitch" is not connected with the bar or drinking.

... except coincidentally, in the word 'pitcher' (which can mean 'large jug'). People in pubs sometimes buy beer 'by the pitcher/jug'.
