    Arrow Friend Of X

"She is a friend of Peter's/Peter."

    Are "Peter's" and "Peter" interchangeable?

    Re: Friend Of X

The original post was inspired by the correctness of "She is a friend of his."

Please try to be a little more patient. There is no need to bump your question less than seven hours after you posted it - especially when many of us in Europe are asleep.

    A friend of Peter's/his.

    Re: Friend Of X

Hmm...what about "...a friend of Peter who your husband works with"?
