Cool If I made /Have made

    Hello!

Could we use the present perfect and the past simple interchangeably here please?

If I've made a mistake, I won't be very happy to do so but I'll admit I have made a mistake.

Thanks a lot for your help

    Will

Re: If I made /Have made

Not a teacher nor a native.

I would use the present simple in the if-part as using of the present perfect seems odd to me in this sentence.
    However, I may be wrong.
Looking forward to seeing teacher's comment.

    Yours sincerely, Alex.

I'd use the present perfect if the mistake is rectifiable, and the past if it's not. But that's not mandatory.
