    coordinating conjunction problem

    He was impressed how near dairy and cattle farms are to cities and also with the variety of meat products they were selling.


    In the above sentence, is it OK as it is

    or do i have to change the underlined part to "was also impressed with"?

    No. That would be overkill. If you wanted to change it, make it "He was impressed with how ..." ie, add one word. That's what I'd do (for style), but it's acceptable as it is.
