    Overwhelmed by/with Afraid of/ to

She is overwhelmed by/with lots of homework.

Which does sound proper in English?

She is afraid of failing her class.
She is afraid that she will fail her class.
She is afraid to fail her class.

Thank you so much for answering my questions.

She is afraid to fail her class. OK, but with this example ("...afraid to fail...") I would expect a follow-on statement that tells me why she is afraid because of some consequence.
