Post What is the right sentence?

Hi teachers, please could you help out with this?
I went to the market to buy pie but i don't know how to say it.
Instead, i bought "a piece of pie". If i wanted to buy the whole pie(as it is made round), what would i have said?

    Thanks in adance.

You would buy a pie if you bought the whole pie.

There is nothing wrong with specifying the "whole pie" if there is some confusion.

If you said "I went to the shop to buy pie" it would be impossible to tell if you bought some of a pie or a whole pie.
