    scuttle (v)

    Dear teachers,

    Would you be kind enough to give me your considered opinion concerning the interpretation of the verb in bold in the following sentence?

    To avoid her gaze, I stared through the open windows at the clouds scuttling past the sun.

    scuttle = to move about; hasten; bustle
