    vocabulary

    Dear techers,

The following is a multiple choice:

Now you and the seller must contact each other by e-mail, arrange payment and shipping terms, and __________ the transaction.
    a. accomplish b. conclude
    c. end d. finish

It's somewhat difficult to decide which to choose. Is "b" the answer? If it isn't could you please explain why and tell me whihc is the correct one?

Looking forward to hearing from you.
    Thank you in advance.

    Jiang

    Re: vocabulary

    b) is the correct answer (IMHO). The two words just collocates. You generally don't "accomplish" transactions as far as I know, and "end" or "finish" say nothing about whether the transaction was successfully completed or cancelled. .

    Re: vocabulary

I agree b) is the correct answer. However, to me personally a nearly obvious verb to be used in the given context is 'finalise' which is not even listed there...
