    ringworm

    Hi,

    what is the adjective to describe a person who has ringworm? is it mangy? what about animals? do we say the dog has ringworm?

    If you said a person was mangy, I would think they were scruffy and grubby, not infected with ringworm. I think mange is caused by ticks.

    There is no single adjective to describe a person or animal suffering from ringworm.

    The best you can hope for is

    'The doctor prescribed an anti-fungal cream for his ringworm-afflicted patient.'
