Can you please determine the verbs and subjects in the sentences below.

1. If all is lost, why am I still playing?
2. Around every cloud is a silver lining.

1. If all is lost, why am I still playing? - all and I are the subjects and am playing and is are the verbs
2. Around every cloud is a silver lining.- Is is the verb and lining is the subject
