    uncountables

hi, I'd like to know how I may have made a mistake in the following sentences.
    Thanks.
The earthquake caused destruction to 200 buildings, and about 500 death tolls, 6000 casualties, and 5000 homeless.

[QUOTE=celtaflorida;778075]Hi, I'd like to know how I may have made a mistake in the following sentences.
    Thanks.

'The earthquake destroyed 200 buildings, caused the deaths of about 500 people, injured 6,000, and made 5,000 homeless.'

A better title would have been The earthquake. 'Uncountables' has nothing to do with your question.

    Re: uncountables

    Thanks.
How can "death toll" be used as plural in a sentence correctly?
Can one say, "....5000 death tolls." or "death tolls were in hundreds." ?
    I appreciate it very much.

    You can't.
    The death toll was enormous.
