    Cool my mother did

    Hello everyone,

    I need your help on this one, please.

    "When I was young I had a dog. I had to wash him every week, but I didn't have to feed him, my mother did. "

    => In this case "my mother did" means:

    -My mother had to feed him.

    -My mother fed him.

    It's a run on sentence. But it means "I didn't have to feed him because my mother did [feed him]."
