    a. We are going to the beach tomorrow. How about you? (Are you going too?)
    a(i). We are going to the beach tomorrow. What about you? (Where are you going tomorrow?)
    b. We have passed the test. What/How about you? (Did you pass the test too?)
    c. She has invited us to her party. How about you? (Did she invite you too?)
    c(i). She has invited us to her party. What about you? (Did anybody invite you to his/her party?)
    d. You only invited me to your party. What about my brother? (Are you not going to invite my brother?)
    d(i). You invited me to your party. How about inviting my brother too? (Can you invite my brother too?)

    You're right about that. It would take a lot of listening and reading to get the hang of it.
